The climate has changed

This is the first winter in memory (around these parts) where we had to shovel snow off our roof (to keep it from caving in), and break through a foot of ice in our gutters and along the roof's edge (to prevent ice dams--i.e., water backing-up at the ice barriers during melts and leaking down into the house).

'Nuff said.
