A good read

Good As Lily cover
Good As Lily, written by Derek Kirk Kim and illustrated by Jesse Hamm is a great read. It tells the story of an 18 year old girl who must confront real versions of herself at ages 6, 29 and 70, all at the same time. Centered around the ups and downs of producing a high school play, it deals with issues of family, love, friendship, and what you really look for in life. The book is filled with whole people, humor, and a wry understanding of what it means to grow up -- at every stage in a person's life. Both text and black and white illustrations carry this story -- one that was thoroughly enjoyed by a tween, a teenager, and an adult.

C'mon. Try it.
